Myra Craven

Myra was admitted as an attorney, notary and conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa on 2 February 2007 and as an attorney of the High Court of Namibia on 2 December 2016. She joined the Firm in March 2022 as a consultant in the commercial department.

Myra practises all aspects of corporate commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial contract law, and competition and antitrust law, and has experience in conducting due diligence investigations. Myra’s primary area of focus is banking and finance law and, before joining Koep, she was a legal manager at Standard Bank Namibia Limited where she was responsible for all legal work within the Investment Bank Division. She has provided advice on the provision of financing in relation to the design, construction, operation and maintenance of solar farms in Namibia, and on transactions for various banks and lead arrangers relating to loans made to and from Namibia, as well as the security for the loans.

Myra has acted for clients in a number of industries, including the banking, wine, tobacco, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceutical, insurance and medical aid industries. In addition, she has experience in South African and international intellectual property law.
